United Nations Association for Climate and Oceans (Seaford) in collaboration with Seaford Environmental Alliance (S.E.A.) is hosting a webinar entitled ‘Celebrating the Sea – Challenges and Solutions for our Blue Planet.’
Dr. Ivan Haigh, Associate Professor of Coastal Oceanography at Southampton University, representing Plover Rovers, a new organization dedicated to sharing their passion for ocean literacy will talk about the impacts of acceleration in sea level rise
Gonzalo Alvarez , Chairman of UNA Climate and Oceans will introduce global challenges in the context of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Andrew Scoon, the Brighton Dolphin Project will talk about their work with local communities to ensure marine wildlife is protected and valued throughout the Sussex coast.
Ella Garrud, Living Seas Officer, from the Sussex Wildlife Trust will share details of the Help Our Kelp project a pioneering campaign to restore a vast underwater kelp forest off the Sussex coast.
Seaford students Lara and Alex will host the event, share poetry, will share what motivates them and how we can participate in celebrating and caring for our Blue Planet.
