Seahaven Baby Bank

Clothes and more from 0 to 4!

A whopping 183 million items of outgrown baby clothing are tucked away in UK homes according to Hubbub, and more go to waste before their time. Meanwhile, many families are going without the basics.

It doesn’t have to be this way…so Seaford Environmental Alliance has partnered with the amazing Seahaven Baby Bank to keep that waste out of Newhaven incinerator… and support local families at the same time.

Need some baby stuff?

Just drop in to the Climate Hub and have a browse. We welcome cash or card donations, but if you are short of money, please let us know and we can help you with a package to meet your needs.

Please note, the Baby Bank is downstairs but if you are unable to use thestairs we are happy to bring items up to you.  We welcome small cash donations if you can afford it, but this is optional.

Got something to donate?

Please email the Baby Bank first to check which items we are currently collecting. Items can then be dropped off at the Climate Hub. Generally, we take

  • Any clothes and shoes for ages 0 to 4 in good condition.
  • Accessories such as cots, highchairs, moses baskets, sterilisers, cups, baby bouncersn nappies… and more!

Due to limited space, we cannot take donations of toys, but the Scope shop across the road is usually pleased to have them. When donating to us, please ask yourself: “Is this item in a condition that I would like to receive?” If the answer is yes, then bring it in!

Opening hours

Please see our hub opening hours which can vary a little. If you are in need of baby things, but not able to come during opening times please email the Baby Bank.
