Practical Bike Maintenance.

Cycling is a great way to get around whilst caring for the environment and getting some exercise at the same time. We want to help you learn how to keep your bike rolling as safely and smoothly as possible, avoiding expensive repair bills.

We’ve put together a short workshop in the basics of bike maintenance, simple enough for anyone to have a go.

We will cover:

  • How to carry out a quick safety check
  • How to remove a tyre and repair a puncture
  • How to check and adjust brakes
  • How to adjust your gears

This is a ‘hands on’ session so please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy and sensible shoes. If you have some DIY gloves then please bring them.

We will provide tools – but if you would like to bring some of your own along to try that’s fine too.
